This
will be a great lesson on learning to sharpen your drawing skills. We
will focus attention to basic forms before attempting a completed
picture. Students will also learn about atmospheric perspective and
strategies for shading.
Create a
beautiful relief in clay which will be fired and finished to look like bronze.
You
will be able to hang the finished piece on a wall.A drawing of the form
to be sculpted, will first be completed before moving on to the form in
clay.
Students
will first create a drawing from photographs of a city corner. They
will be sharpening their perspective drawing skills as this is
fundamental to the development of a good base for their painting. They
will then learn how to use the pastels to create interesting colour and
tonal effects. This project will also tie into their drawing project,
with respect to atmospheric perspective and shading, this time using
colour.
